Pittsburgh Technical Institute
PTI is a career college devoted to getting students ready for work and career development. We design associate degree and certificate programs in order to meet employers' needs; this means combining general education with specialized technical skills, and professional know-how.
The employers are what drives our curriculum; all instruction is hands-on and oriented towards projects.
Housing Options
Off-campus student apartments
Individuals attend PTI from various areas, states and time zones and move into PTI's student accommodations. In the beginning, some students find it difficult to leave home for the first time. After a time, though, students will adjust - getting to know their roommates, their neighbors across the hall, and their classmates. So the option of going into student housing isn't such a bad idea, is it? Actually, it can be quite exhilarating to be on one's own, having an apartment and forming new friendships.
The Curriculum of a program is formulated to provide graduates the desired tools, the power and the confidence to succeed in the job market, and in addition to this, other facilities such as off-campus student apartments are located just a few minutes away from the North Fayette Campus. They can be obtained in an assortment of bedroom and bathroom arrangements, which includes utilities and local telephone service. There are three main categories of financial aid.
- Grants - money that does not require repayment. In essence, a grant is tax money being put to work for your benefit.
- Scholarships - gifts of money that will not have to be reimbursed. Scholarships are usually rewarded to people who contribute to social causes or personal clubs or make incredible achievements.
- Loans - awards of money that will have to be paid back. A loan is a monetary amount that is provided by a lending institution or organization to assist people with the financial costs of higher education.
Your questions will be answered by PTI's Financial Planners who will work on your behalf to optimize your financial aid assistance.
