For students who are interested in technology, Penn Foster global offers a range of diploma and certificate programs. Students can pursue programs in basic electronics, electronics technician, forensic computer examiner, Internet marketing, JAVA programmer, Microsoft Office 2007, PC maintenance and repair, and telecommunications technician. Certificate programs provide students with valuable skills that can benefit them in new and existing professions, while diploma programs prepare students for entry-level positions in their new careers.

As a distance-learning option with low overhead and little infrastructure, the Penn Foster global programs offer a significant savings to students who are willing to pursue self-guided studies. Many of the Penn Foster programs are $1,000 or less, and may require as little as 9 months to complete the program – or less for certificates.

Students who pursue a Penn Foster global education should be aware that the classes here may not apply to continuing education, if students are interested in pursuing further education in career-related studies. Penn Foster is an accredited member of the Distance Education and Training Council, but many colleges and universities may not accept Penn Foster classes in transfer credits.

Because Penn Foster is a diploma-based distance learning school, students at Penn Foster do not qualify for federal financial aid. Students must arrange financing through private payment methods, without financial aid.
