The Computer Science associate and bachelor degree programs at Grantham University prepares students for professional positions requiring basic computer skills, or for computing technology careers. Both of these degree programs are available as general programs of study, or students can select a concentration in Information Technology or Information Management.
The associate degree program teaches students to demonstrate basic knowledge of strengths and challenges of current Microsoft Office products, demonstrate critical thinking, interpret written programs, and create, design, and maintain Web pages. The Bachelor of Science degree prepares students to create, enhance, and debug computer software, design, implement, and evaluate a computer-based system, and apply creatively defined computing requirements to develop technological solutions.
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Technology provides a slightly different focus; it prepares students to design and develop digital systems, including the associated software. The curriculum includes electronics and computer engineering technology courses, in addition to computer science courses. This program prepares students for careers as a design engineer, field engineer, computer hardware engineer, or engineering specialist.
Grantham University students do not quality for federal or state financial aid. Grantham University does provide some scholarship opportunities for students, and it partners with some corporations to provide tuition reimbursement for prospective students. Students may still be able to obtain private financing or third-party scholarships to finance a Grantham University education, but students will not receive federal or state grants or subsidized student loans.
